JumpStart Autism Collective, an industry leader in autism care, is hiring full time and part time Behavior Technicians to work at our Rio Rancho, NM center. What makes this opportunity special is that we'll help you earn your Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification by providing coursework, comprehensive training, and covering your exam fees! WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?

Our Behavior Technicians go through an extensive initial training program (making $18.50 - $19.50 per hour) and earn $20.50 - $21.50 per hour once training is complete.

As for the schedule, full time autism technicians work between the hours of Monday through Friday, 7:45 am to 5:00 pm. Our part time autism technicians choose between two block schedules. Morning block requires availability between 7:45 am to 1:15 pm each day Monday through Friday. Afternoon block requires availability between 11:45 am to 5:15 pm each day Monday through Friday.

AVERAGE DAY

As a Behavior Technician, you'll lead 1:1 ABA therapy sessions to teach children with autism (ages 1 to 12) life skills. You'll work under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), following personalized therapy paths to help each client achieve their goals. Here's a closer look:

  • Implement ABA therapy and Precision Teaching practices to help clients gain new skills and reduce behaviors
  • Accurately record all session data and make detailed notes about the client's progress
  • Communicate with parents, caregivers, and other stakeholders
  • Maintain learning materials and keep the therapy environment clean and organized
  • Engage in crisis intervention and prevention as needed
  • Follow industry policies, laws, and code of ethics
  • Maintain client confidentiality
  • Maintain a positive and professional demeanor and appearance
