Part-Time Sitter — The Nanny Loft

Location: Lehigh Valley, PA and surrounding areas

Job Type: Part-Time | 20–29 hours per week

The Nanny Loft is looking for experienced, passionate part-time babysitters who are ready to make a real difference in the lives of families across the Lehigh Valley. Job Summary

The Nanny Loft is seeking dependable, caring, and flexible part-time babysitters to provide quality childcare and occasional household support for families in the Lehigh Valley and surrounding areas. You'll work approximately 20–29 hours per week, with shifts that typically span a full workday. We prefer candidates who have full-day availability on select days — for example, all day Monday and Thursday. If you're organized, warm, great with kids of all ages, and ready to show up for families who truly need you — we want to hear from you.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

- Provide safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate care for children of all ages, including infants

- Follow each family's routines, including feeding, nap times, playtime, and homework help

- Engage children in age-appropriate activities such as arts and crafts, outdoor play, and educational games

- Safely transport children to school, activities, appointments, and playdates

- Assist with light household tasks and basic meal preparation as needed

- Administer medication with parental consent when required

- Maintain open, accurate communication with parents about daily activities, meals, and any incidents

- Adapt to varying schedules, including evenings, weekends, and occasional overnights

REQUIREMENTS

- Must be at least 21 years old

- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required

- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States

- Minimum 3 years of childcare experience, including infant care

- Current Infant/Child CPR and First Aid Certification required

- Current Mandated Reporter Training required

- Current Car Seat Safety Training required

- Must pass a comprehensive background check

- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and current auto insurance

- Reliable personal transportation required

- Physically able to actively care for an infant, including lifting up to 25 lbs, engaging in floor-level play, and moving quickly to ensure child safety

- Knowledge of infant safety, safe sleep practices, and child development

- Physical examination completed within the last 12 months required

- Must provide proof of current required vaccinations (including but not limited to Td/Tdap, MMR, HepA, HepB, PCV, and influenza)

- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS AND RESOURCES

Candidates must currently hold all three of the following certifications before applying:

1. Mandated Reporter Training

Physical Examination Requirement:
