📍 Miami Arts Charter School – Wynwood Arts District, Miami, FL

💼 Full-Time | Starting Salary: $55,000/year


Miami Arts Charter School is seeking a passionate and creative 8th Grade Language Arts Teacher to join our team for the 2026-2027 school year. Founded in 2009, Miami Arts Charter School is located in the culturally rich Wynwood Arts District and serves students in grades 6–12 through a competitive audition and application process in the performing and fine arts. Our students are academically driven, artistically talented, and eager to grow—and we are committed to supporting them every step of the way. All instruction aligns with the Florida State Standards, and our educators are empowered to develop engaging lessons that foster critical thinking, creativity, and strong literacy skills.


Responsibilities:

  • Teach English/Language Arts aligned to Florida State Standards
  • Develop rigorous, engaging lessons in reading, writing, speaking, and listening
  • Support student development in grammar, vocabulary, and analytical thinking
  • Cultivate a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment
  • Communicate regularly with students and families about progress
  • Collaborate with colleagues and participate in school initiatives and events

Qualifications:

  • State of Florida Teaching Certificate (Professional or Temporary) OR Statement of Eligibility preferred. Candidates without these will be assisted to apply for Eligibility before start date.
  • Prior teaching experience preferred but not required
  • Strong classroom management and instructional delivery skills
  • Ability to inspire a love of reading and writing in diverse learners
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
  • Passion for education and commitment to academic excellence
