About the Role
Associated Recreation Council (ARC), in partnership with Seattle Parks and Recreation, is seeking an energetic and knowledgeable Pickleball Instructor to lead recreational programming for older adults. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys teaching, fostering community, and supporting active lifestyles.
These opportunities are for on-site, in-person instruction only.
As part of our Senior Adults programming, you will help participants build skills, confidence, and social connection through accessible and enjoyable pickleball instruction.

Instructor Pickleball duties and responsibilities include:
  • Lead pickleball classes tailored to senior adults, focusing on safety, skill development, and fun.
  • Teach fundamentals including rules, scoring, paddle skills, footwork, and game strategy.
  • Create a welcoming and inclusive environment for participants of varying experience levels.
  • Provide modifications and guidance to support safe participation.
  • Manage class setup and cleanup.
  • Maintain attendance records and complete required administrative documentation.

Instructor Pickleball requirements include:

  • Experience teaching pickleball, tennis, or similar racquet sports.
