The University of South Alabama (USA) invites applications for a part-time, 12-month faculty position within the College of Nursing to serve as an Instructor and teach courses in the Nurse Anesthesiology specialty. The candidate should have an earned masters or doctoral degree, PhD, DNP, or DNAP. Candidates should also have a CRNA certification with unencumbered license to practice in Alabama and at least 2 years of full-time work experience. Responsibilities include teaching graduate courses pertaining to nurse anesthesia, mentoring DNP-NA specialty students and DNP projects, participating in administrative governance within the Nurse Anesthesia department, maintaining a part-time clinical practice as well as contributing to the school and healthcare through scholarly inquiry resulting in publication and/or service. The USA Nurse Anesthesiology Program seeks to prepare full scope of practice, autonomous Certified Registered Nurse Anesthesiologist (CRNA) leaders through the delivery of a rigorous, front-loaded didactic curriculum with exemplary clinical experiences and appropriate and immersive simulation opportunities.
