Job description

Beechmont Pet Hospital is currently seeking an enthusiastic, outgoing individual to join our growing staff as a full-time veterinary assistant! Part-time availability may also be considered for the right candidate. Potential applicants should have a positive attitude, strong communication skills, and have the ability to multi-task. A customer service background and/or veterinary hospital experience is preferred but we are also willing to provide on the job training as well.

The duties of the veterinary assistant would include assisting with patient care and treatment, monitoring hospitalized pets, maintaining inventory and stocking, restraining animals during blood draws and nail trims, aiding with routine diagnostic tests, maintaining & sterilizing surgical instruments, clean/disinfect hospital, administering medication under supervision, feeding/bathing animals, answering phones and general customer service duties.
