Job description

Creekside Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our team!
This is an excellent opportunity for skilled, outgoing technicians who want to work at the top of their license, expand their technical abilities, and make meaningful connections with clients and their pets. Creekside offers access to advanced diagnostics-including CT, ultrasound, and AI-assisted tools-plus structured CE and hands-on learning opportunities for motivated technicians.
In this role, you will:
  • Provide excellent patient care during surgical and dental procedures, including anesthesia monitoring, patient prep and recovery, and full dental cleanings and radiographs.
  • Support efficient exam room workflow and ensure strong, clear client communication.
  • Review treatment plans, provide discharge instructions, and address client questions with empathy and clarity.
  • Collaborate with your team and support the veterinarian's orders during outpatient visits, ensuring the highest level of patient care.
  • Participate in case rounds held several times per year-with lunch included-earning CE credit and enhancing clinical knowledge.

This position is ideal for a detail-oriented RVT who are passionate about gold-standard patient care, eager to grow their advanced skills, and excited to work in a supportive, team-focused environment.
Schedule: This is a flexible position open to either full-time or part-time. Full-time would include 3.5 days Monday through Friday with rotating Saturday shifts required. Part-time depends on you, but still require rotating Saturdays.
Work-life balance is respected here: there are no on-call's, staff typically leave by 5:15-5:30 p.m., and Sundays are always off.
Full-time benefits and compensation**:
  • Compensation: $20 - $25.50 per hour, for each hour worked*
  • Bonus package: up to $2000 based on credentials
  • CE allowance: up to $1,000 annually based on tenure
  • CE Hours: 2 paid CE days per year for all FT staff

Minimum qualifications and skill set:
  • 3+ years of veterinary experience in a clinical setting is REQUIRED
  • Current Veterinary Technician License in the state of Indiana is REQUIRED
  • Proficiency in the following skills:
    • Anesthesia induction, maintenance, and recovery
    • Ability to perform dental prophylaxis, charting, and radiographs
    • Cystocentesis, IV & IM Injections
    • IV Catheter placement & Phlebotomy
    • Microscope evaluation (including but not limited to ear cytology, blood smears, and urinalysis)
