Job description

Aircraft Maintenance - Student Employee (Fall)
Job no: 493765

Pay Range: Targeted salary of $13/hr, based on education and experience.
Benefits Eligible: No
Work Schedule: Various shifts available 7 days a week 2 to 5 hours, either in the morning (6am to 10am) and/or evening (7pm to midnight)
Travel: Not required
Position Introduction:
Part-time student employee to conduct cleaning and light preventive maintenance on aircraft fleet. FAA Private pilot
license required. Various shifts available 7 days a week. Two to five hours, either in the mornings (6AM to 10AM) and/or in
the evenings (7PM to 12AM). Objective: Assist dispatch with pulling planes out of hangars or pulling planes into hangars, ensuring all required materials are in plane, cleaning facilities, and general upkeep of aircraft interiors.
Required Education and Experience:
  • Must be currently enrolled in the Fall 2026 Term as a student at the University of Oklahoma.
  • Hiring contingent upon verification of current student status.

Required Attachments:
  • Cover Letter
  • Class Schedule

Responsibilities:
  • Removing planes from hangars
  • General inspection and maintenance of aircraft
  • General facility cleaning
  • Aircraft material condition (upholstery, floor mats, etc.)- Make squawks for found issues on interior (not on FSP)

Checks:
  • Tire treads/pressure
  • Windshield clarity
  • 100 hr black book has paper and is not destroyed
  • Hood (replace if needed)
  • Gats Jar (replace if needed)
  • Checklist condition (replace if needed)
  • ARROW documents
  • Tie down condition (knots/frayed)
