As of Jul 16, 2026, the average hourly pay for part time aide in Reno, NV is $16.10, according to ZipRecruiter salary data. Most workers in this role earn between $13.89 and $17.98 per hour, depending on experience, location, and employer.

What is the most paying part-time job?

Part-time jobs in healthcare, such as medical assistants or phlebotomists, tend to offer higher hourly wages compared to other sectors. Skilled roles like tutoring, IT support, or specialized trades can also be well-paying, especially with certifications or experience. Compensation varies based on location, industry, and required skills.

What are some good part-time side jobs?

Part-time aides can consider side jobs such as retail associate, food service worker, or babysitter, which often offer flexible hours. Skills like customer service, communication, and basic organization are valuable, and these roles typically require minimal certifications. These jobs can complement their main position and help increase income while maintaining a flexible schedule.

What are part time aides?

Part time aides are support staff who work less than full-time hours to assist in various settings such as schools, healthcare facilities, or offices. Their responsibilities typically include helping with daily tasks, supporting professionals, and ensuring smooth operations. The exact duties of a part time aide can vary depending on the workplace, but they often assist with administrative work, basic care tasks, or student support. Part time aides usually work flexible hours, making the role suitable for those needing a non-traditional work schedule.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Part Time Aide, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Part Time Aide, you need basic caregiving knowledge, reliability, and often a high school diploma or equivalent. Familiarity with scheduling software, basic first aid, and, in some settings, CPR certification can be beneficial. Strong communication, patience, and a supportive attitude help build trust with clients or students and foster a positive environment. These skills and qualities ensure the aide can provide effective assistance, maintain safety, and support the well-being of those they serve.

What is the easiest part-time job to get?

Part-time aide positions are generally accessible and often require minimal experience or certifications, making them relatively easy to obtain. These roles typically involve basic tasks such as assisting with daily activities or supporting staff, and may be available in settings like schools, healthcare facilities, or community programs with flexible schedules.

Common Search & ComparisonPart Time Aide vs Part Time Teacher

Part Time Aides typically assist teachers or staff in educational or healthcare settings, focusing on support tasks. Part Time Teachers are responsible for delivering instruction and managing classrooms. While both roles may require similar credentials, Teachers have more direct instructional responsibilities, making the roles distinct in scope and duties.

What jobs pay 4000 a week without a degree?

Part Time Aides typically do not earn $4,000 a week due to the nature of part-time work and hourly wages. High-paying roles that can reach this level without a degree are rare and often involve entrepreneurship, sales, real estate, or specialized trades with significant experience or commissions. Most jobs paying this amount require full-time commitment, advanced skills, or licensing.

What are some common challenges faced by part time aides, and how can they effectively manage them?

Part time aides often balance multiple responsibilities, such as assisting with daily tasks, supporting staff, and providing direct care or supervision to clients or students. A common challenge is adapting quickly to changing needs and schedules, especially when working with diverse groups or filling in for other staff. Effective time management, clear communication with supervisors, and staying organized are key strategies for managing these challenges. Building good relationships within the team and seeking feedback can also help aides thrive and feel more confident in their role.

Job description

Every successful engineering career needs a solid foundation, and as an Engineering Aide in the Seabees, that’s exactly what you’ll get. Learn from the best as you report directly to Construction Engineers who will help you develop a sharp understanding of what it takes to plan and carry out on-site projects. Do your job right, and you’ll build structures that will last for years to come and a career that will take you wherever you want to go.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Engineering Aides directly assist Construction Engineers in developing final construction plans. They are responsible for performing the pre-construction prep work from blueprint planning to land surveying that helps ensure the success of the project. As an Engineering Aide, your work responsibilities may include:

  • Conducting location surveys for roads, airfields, pipelines, ditches, buildings, drainage structures and waterfront construction
  • Preparing hydrographic, topographic and triangulation drawings and maps

  • Laying out all types of construction work
  • Operating and maintaining various types of precision surveying and laboratory test instruments and equipment
  • Preparing architectural, mechanical, electrical and civil drawings
  • Designing grading and drainage systems
  • Conducting concrete, soil and asphalt tests and quality control inspections
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints and preparing sketches for projects
  • Making estimates of material, labor and equipment requirements
  • Performing tasks required in combat and disaster preparedness or recovery operations

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • As an Engineering Aide, you’ll construct and repair a variety of structures in just about every environment imaginable. You may work at Navy bases or ports of call around the globe, and you may be deployed to help develop or rebuild areas affected by natural disasters. Seabees primarily serve at shore-based commands—you will likely not spend time at sea.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • U.S. citizen or equivalent
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • 17 years of age or older

PAY AND BENEFITS

From the day you start, you’ll receive:

  • Competitive salary

  • A retirement plan
  • Paid training

  • Navy College Program and Tuition Assistance
  • Post-9/11 GI Bill, up to 100% tuition
  • Professional credentials and certifications
  • College credit hours toward a bachelor’s or associate degree through the American Council on Education

PART-TIME OPPORTUNITIES

  • Serving part-time as a Navy Reserve Sailor, your duties will be carried out during your scheduled drilling and training periods. During monthly drilling, Engineering Aides in the Navy Reserve typically work at a location close to their homes.
  • For annual training, you may serve anywhere in the world, including locations in the U.S., at bases overseas, or in areas where humanitarian needs are great
