These positions help ensure the timely procurement, storage, and distribution of components used in aircraft and spacecraft manufacturing and maintenance. Common responsibilities may include inventory management, supplier communication, order tracking, and quality assurance. You'll often need to coordinate with multiple departments—such as procurement, logistics, and quality assurance—making strong communication skills essential. Staying up-to-date with regulations and documentation is also critical, as the aerospace industry operates under strict compliance standards. Proactively seeking clarity on priorities and maintaining organized records can help manage these challenges and ensure smooth operations.

To thrive as a Part Time Aerospace Supply Chain professional, you need a solid understanding of supply chain management principles, inventory control, and basic logistics, often supported by relevant coursework or experience in aerospace or manufacturing. Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems like SAP, as well as proficiency in data analysis and inventory tracking tools, is typically expected. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication are valuable soft skills that set candidates apart. These skills are crucial for ensuring the timely and compliant movement of aerospace components, minimizing errors, and supporting efficient operations in a highly regulated industry.

POSITION: Supply Chain SME

Who We Are:

Quest Global delivers world-class end-to-end engineering solutions by leveraging our deep industry knowledge and digital expertise. By bringing together technologies and industries, alongside the contributions of diverse individuals and their areas of expertise, we are able to solve problems better, faster. This multi-dimensional approach enables us to solve the most critical and large-scale challenges across the aerospace & defense, automotive, energy, hi-tech, healthcare, medical devices, rail and semiconductor industries.

We are looking for humble geniuses, who believe that engineering has the potential to make the impossible possible; innovators, who are not only inspired by technology and innovation, but also perpetually driven to design, develop, and test as a trusted partner for Fortune 500 customers. As a team of remarkably diverse engineers, we recognize that what we are really engineering is a brighter future for us all. If you want to contribute to meaningful work and be part of an organization that truly believes when you win, we all win, and when you fail, we all learn, then we're eager to hear from you.

About Job:

We are seeking a visionary, Technocommercial Supply Chain Subject Matter Expert (SME) to serve as our Strategic Founding Advisor. Because we are building our energy supply chain division from the ground up, this individual will not only architect our market penetration strategy into a Tier-1 Global Oil & Gas Supermajor but will also design our internal capabilities.

A critical component of this role is technology leadership: the consultant will evaluate, recommend, and direct investments into next-generation AI and digital supply chain technologies to ensure our organization is built for modern, predictive, and highly efficient operations

What You will Do:

Assess our current corporate assets and design a comprehensive roadmap to build a fully capable, compliant oil and gas supply chain division from scratch.

Act as the primary technology advisor. Identify, vet, and business-case investments in advanced supply chain technologies (e.g., AI-driven demand forecasting, generative AI for contract analytics, predictive logistics, and IoT inventory tracking).

Develop high-impact technical collateral and tailor made supply chain solutions aligned with emerging industry trends to resolve complex client challenges.

Actively leverage and expand professional networks to identify, map, and build strategic relationships with the target customer organization.

Lead the definition of organizational design and job descriptions for the expanding team. Actively participate in interviewing, screening, and selecting top-tier supply chain talent.

Work Experience

What You Will Bring:

15+ years of end-to-end supply chain leadership within the Oil & Gas sector, with a heavy emphasis on logistics & transportation, supply chain planning, warehouse & inventory management etc.

Proven track record of hiring, mentoring, and building high-performance supply chain teams from the ground up.

Deep, verifiable network of existing professional relationships within a Global Oil & Gas Operator's supply chain network in the Greater Houston Area.

Deep familiarity with modern AI applications in logistics, predictive analytics, and automated sourcing platforms.

Proven track record of creating high-quality executive pitches to build global teams would be added advantage

Pay Range: $60-$90 per hour

Compensation decisions are made based on factors including experience, skills, education, and other job-related factors, in accordance with our internal pay structure. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and retirement plan.

Travel Requirements:

Houston is the base location, 10-15% of travel would be required outside Houston within USA or global locations like India based on the business need.

Citizenship Requirements:

Due to the nature of the work, U.S. citizenship or work authorization is required.
