Overview

Beyond New Horizons, LLC (BNH) has an exciting opportunity for an ET Lead, supporting TOS II, at Arnold AFB Tennessee. The selected candidate will be working as a member of an integrated team responsible for [e.g. operating and maintaining or supporting] the United States Air Force Test Operations and Sustainment efforts.

Open to internal candidates only. The selected candidate for this requisition must be available to work any shift and shift determination will be made based on the priority of work at the time the selected candidate is cleared to report to work.

Job Summary

The successful candidate under general supervision, as a working group leader over lower grade craftsmen, directs and performs a wide variety of technical, mechanical, electrical, and manual work in the testing, operating, and/or assembly and shop areas of an Engineering Test Facility. 

Job Duties:

  • Prepares Test Facility equipment for operations
  • Prepare test articles for testing
  • Install test articles and checks installation
  • Installs high-speed data cabling
  • Troubleshoots equipment, test articles, and installations in case of malfunctions
  • Operates plant and test equipment during tests
  • Assists in tests and operates test articles such as controls for engines and rockets; removes test articles after tests
  • Installs and maintains facility systems; accomplishes maintenance and servicing work required to place and keep test facility equipment in operation
  • Uses a wide variety of hand and machine tools, powered equipment, measuring and testing equipment
  • Instructs less experienced lower-level grade craftsmen
  • Perform other duties as required
  • It is a condition of employment to wear PPE Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in accordance with supervisory direction and company policy
  • Must be able/available to work different work shifts and schedules
  • Perform other duties as required

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must possess High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Six years of progressive electrician experience in the working or operating section of an Aeronautical Test Facility Laboratory, or eight years of progressive electrician experience on comparable equipment in a large plant, directly related to the position under consideration
  • Ability to skillfully operate and work with a wide variety of hand and machine tools
  • Ability to read and work from blueprints, diagrams, and sketches
  • Must be able to direct the work of lower grade craftsman
  • Must be able to work in a team atmosphere
  • Must put forward professional behavior that enhances productivity and promotes teamwork and cooperation
  • Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must nor impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance and the AEDC local area network
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain Fiber Optic (Basic and Advanced) and Fusion Splicing Certification
  • Current U. S. Citizenship required
