Position Overview:
As a Process Engineer, you will play a key role in improving production performance, solving technical issues, and driving process improvements. You'll work closely with production, quality, and maintenance teams to ensure Process lines operate safely, efficiently, and in line with product specifications and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and improve processes for new and existing products.
  • Analyze production data and identify opportunities for efficiency gains, cost savings, and quality improvements.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for process or equipment-related issues.
  • Design and update standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and process documentation.
  • Support the launch of new products and equipment, ensuring alignment with quality, timing, and cost targets.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to implement lean Process initiatives and reduce waste.
  • Evaluate and recommend new tools, fixtures, equipment, or technologies to enhance production capabilities.
  • Ensure processes meet internal standards and external regulatory or customer requirements.
  • Collaborate with maintenance teams on preventive maintenance planning and production equipment upgrades.
  • Support training for operators and technicians for new or updated processes.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
  • 3+ years' experience in a Process or production environment (automotive industry preferred).
  • Working knowledge of lean Process, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in CAD software and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with automation, robotics, or CNC machining.
  • Knowledge of quality tools such as PFMEA, control plans, and statistical process control (SPC).
  • Familiarity with ERP systems or MES platforms.
  • Experience supporting IATF 16949 or ISO 9001 certified environments.
  • Controls (PLC, 2D/3D Vision Systems, Wiring).
