Compensation Range:

$14.00 - $14.92

Position Summary:

The Part-time Advanced technician STEM tutor position provides high-level academic support to a diverse college student population in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. This role requires advanced subject matter expertise and a focus on fostering independent, active learning. Tutors work one-on-one and in small groups both in person and online, to help students master complex concepts and develop long-term academic success strategies.

Key Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:

  • Facilitate individual and small group tutoring sessions
  • Guide students through problem-solving stratgeies nd critical thinking
  • Stay current with course requirments and expecatiations
  • Timely completion of session reports within the scheduling/tracking platform
  • Assist in training of tutors and participation in professional development
  • Create/facilitate workshops and resources used in tutoring sessions
  • Other duties as assigned by ASC Manager

Minimum requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in a STEM-related field.

This is a part time position not to exceed a schedule of 28 hours per week. Schedules can include nights and Saturdays. This is an on-site position.
