As an Orthopedic Medical Surgical Registered Nurse, you will:
  • Deliver high-quality, patient-centered nursing care using evidence-based practice.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans for orthopedic and medical-surgical patients.
  • Monitor patient conditions, recognize changes, and respond quickly to clinical needs.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and therapies safely and accurately.
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, case managers, and interdisciplinary team members to achieve the best patient outcomes.
  • Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge planning.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and uphold the highest standards of patient safety and quality care.

Additional Job Description
Education
  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.

Licensure & Certifications
  • Current South Carolina Registered Nurse license or compact state RN license required.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
