Job description

GENERAL PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF THE POSITION:
The Registrar Office Assistant supports the campus Registrar's Office with daily tasks such as data entry, document imaging, form processing, and events. The position assists the Campus Registrar in maintaining student records, processing requests, and conducts other general clerical assignments for the Registrar's Office and the campus.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assists with data entry and document imaging.

  • Works effectively among several computer platforms utilized by the Registrar's Office.

  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date records of student information.

  • Performs electronic filing by scanning and indexing documentation received.

  • Responds to questions and requests from students, faculty, administrators, and staff and refers to the appropriate area or individual on the campus.

  • Collaborates with other members of the Student Affairs team to ensure efficient and effective delivery of services to students.

  • Assists with enrollment events as needed.

  • Conducts clerical duties for campus functions as needed.

  • Functions effectively within a team environment and possess excellent problem-solving skills.

  • Maintains working knowledge of emergency/safety procedures as provided by the supervisor.

  • Conducts all activities within the established guidelines of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Associates degree with comparable experience in a similar setting preferred.

High level of technical competency in all phases of clerical procedures and records management.

Composition, spelling, and proofreading skills are needed.

This position pays $15.75 per hour.
