Part-time adjunct faculty often juggle multiple responsibilities, such as teaching at several institutions or balancing work with other professional commitments. A common challenge is limited access to campus resources, including office space and professional development opportunities. Flexibility, organization, and staying informed about institutional policies are key to managing these demands successfully.

They typically do not have tenure and often work at more than one institution or have other jobs in addition to teaching. Adjunct faculty positions offer flexibility but may not include benefits like health insurance or retirement plans. These roles are essential for providing specialized expertise and accommodating fluctuating course demands.
