Job Description Part-Time Accounts Assistant Based in Uxbridge/Harrow Between 16-25 hours per week Paying 15per hour Are you a reliable and detail-oriented individual with a passion for financial management. We are looking for a dedicated Accounts Assistant to play a key role in ensuring accurate financial records and timely reporting. As an Accounts Assistant, you will contribute to the success of the business by processing financial transactions, maintaining precise accounting records, and producing essential financial information.

Purpose of Role: To process financial transactions such as invoices, cash receipts, and supplier invoices, ensuring the production of accurate and timely financial information to monitor the business's performance toward profit goals. Key Responsibilities: Use accounting software to generate customer invoices, credit notes, and send customer statements. Verify supplier invoices against purchase orders, input them into the system, and ensure timely payments.

Maintain the chart of accounts in the software and input payments and receipts. Reconcile bank accounts regularly to ensure accuracy. Produce financial reports on a regular basis.

Maintain the petty cash fund, reconcile on a monthly basis, and handle cheques and cash receipts. Work closely with management and company accountant to provide timely financial information. Process payroll, prepayments, accruals, and update the fixed assets schedule.

Complete national financial statistical forms when required. Ensure confidentiality of customer information. Be flexible in working as part of the team and adhere to company policies and procedures.

Role Specification: Essential Criteria: Trustworthy, honest, and reliable. Experience in bookkeeping and credit control. Good communication and organisational skills.

Proficient in computer/IT skills and bookkeeping software. Consistent management of workload to meet deadlines. Ability and willingness to follow instructions and work as part of a team.

Satisfactory criminal records check and eligibility to work with vulnerable people. Understanding of systems to maintain confidentiality. Knowledge of accruals and prepayments.

Experience in payroll. Desirable Criteria: Good understanding of HMRC. Accounting qualification.
