Nino Salvaggio is currently looking for a part time Accounts Payable Clerk for our corporate office located in Troy.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Responsible for the accountability and accuracy of the store's bookkeeping functions.
  • Ensure that vendors are paid accurately and in a timely manner including the processing of check transmittal/requests with appropriate assignment of account codes, authorization and signature.
  • Validate all invoices, transfers, pay-outs, etc. ensuring accuracy and proper processing procedures.
  • Answer telephones and transfer or route calls to the appropriate department/party.
  • Assist in coordinating audit work and requests from accountants.
  • Ensure that all usage reports and interdepartmental transfers are handled accurately.
  • Report all sales and payout totals to the Accounting Manager.
  • Input invoice amounts into the computer with accuracy.
  • Ensure that all checks produced are accurately printed, signed and mailed.
  • Organize and maintains file systems, files correspondence and other necessary records.
  • Research all inquiries from vendors and store management while maintaining good communication.
  • Prepare outgoing mail and correspondences including e-mail and faxes.
  • Assist in training associate personnel, as necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or GED, required.
  • Associate's degree in accounting or related field.
  • Bachelors degree in accounting or related field, preferred.
  • Previous accounts payable experience, required.
  • Must be organized, able to properly set priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to multitask and maintain attention to detail.
  • Must be able to carefully proof own work and correct errors.
