NYU Grossman School of Medicine, in affiliation with Woodhull Medical and Mental Health Center, is seeking dedicated Medical Bariatric Attendings to join our multidisciplinary team. Woodhull Medical Center is a 310-bed Level II Trauma Center located in North Brooklyn, serving the diverse communities of Williamsburg, Bushwick, and Greenpoint as part of the NYC Health + Hospitals network.
Position Overview
We are looking for experienced medical bariatric physicians to provide high-quality, compassionate care on a part-time basis. The successful candidates will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary setting, supporting patient management and contributing to program growth and excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert clinical care for bariatric patients
- Collaborate with surgical, nutritional, and behavioral health teams
- Participate in patient education, follow-up, and management
- Engage in quality improvement and program development initiatives
Qualifications
• Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Endocrinology, or with the American Board of Obesity Medicine (ABOM).
• Experience in bariatric medicine or obesity management preferred
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work effectively in a diverse urban healthcare environment
Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive compensation package and a stimulating work environment, including:
- Annual base salary: $126,000
- 403(b)/457 participation with a 10% employer contribution (no employee match required)
- Annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) reimbursement of $3,000-$3,500, including one week of paid CME time
- Projected annual revenue sharing payments of up to $30,000 (contingent upon meeting productivity and compliance metrics)
