DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Answers phone, reads and responds to e-mail, takes and routes messages, directs and makes phone calls
  • Performs general clerical duties such as sorting the mail, filing, and making photocopies
  • Registers new students and manages records requests, as needed.
  • Performs a variety of data entry and retrieval tasks including maintaining electronic data files, lists, etc.
  • Assists customers and provides high-quality customer service
  • Serves as backup/substitute for secretary or other support staff member as assigned with appropriate training and supervision
  • Maintains confidentiality of documents, student records, office business, etc.
  • All other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Demonstrates good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to provide quality customer service in a courteous and professional manner
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, preferably in a Macintosh environment; e-mail, and data entry
  • Previous successful work experience in an educational or office setting preferred
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
