Raytheon has an opening for a Production Control, scheduling manager at our Andover, MA facility in the Advanced Electronics Subassembly (AES) value stream. The successful candidate has experience with Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems in a manufacturing environment and utilizes data-driven decision making to enable effective material and workforce forecasting.

This role requires advanced management skills including daily interaction with cross functional teams, programs, and business units to maintain and meet organizational goals and objectives. These groups include planning, production control, operations, quality, and manufacturing/test/design engineering.

The individual in this role will need to quickly develop credibility and influence, aligning the operations’ execution plan to meet critical customer deadlines with supply chain strategies and financial targets.  You will foster a working environment that promotes safety, security, compliance, and quality while achieving overall customer requirements.  You will actively establish, lead, and participate in continuous improvement projects within Raytheon.

What You Will Do

  • Present and drive metric-based improvements across the Value Stream
  • Manage a team of Production Control Managers and Professionals
  • Material Availability Analysis, Tracking, and Reporting. Releasing production orders in MRP system and confirming in shop floor system.
  • Manages and coordinates the Kit Readiness including working with cross-functional teams in BOM, Material Master, Process Engineering, Operations, and Document Control
  • Providing production floor support including replacement part management, shop floor material staging, Work In Progress (WIP) movement through shared resource areas, completion of units in shop floor and MRP system, delivery to next step (inventory or shipment), and meeting MRP schedule
  • Controls the physical disposition of nonconforming or specially handled material including Return to Vendor, purged material, WIP STOP per contractual restrictions, and configuration of components/sub-assemblies as required
  • Managing the coordination and execution of program schedules with Global Supply Chain Management, Subcontracts, Engineering, and other functional areas.
  • Support efforts to establish and coordinate all actions are in place to support our customer commitments.
  • Coordinate Drive and mitigate accountability across our business teams and escalate across cross functional teams
  • Completing Estimate at Completion (EAC’s)
  • Maintains the shop floor, MRP, and inventory systems through key performance metrics
  • Process piece part movement to support internal build requirements through subcontractors, internal resources, and other Raytheon facilities
  • This position will be an onsite role in our Andover, MA facility.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years’ experience
  • Experience working with Material Resource Planning (MRP) systems, or Special program access applications.
  • Experience in Supply Chain, Production and/or and Planning Control, MRP, Inventory Management, Manufacturing, or Capacity Planning.
  • Experience managing daily team operations or equivalent leadership responsibilities.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience with manufacturing tool sets and how to leverage information from material receipt through DD250 within a defense contracting organization.
  • Experience with Foreign Military Sale (FMS) & Direct Commercial Sale (DCS) contracts
  • Experience supporting cross-functional teams

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
