About the role
Team January Digital is looking to fill a Senior Manager role for our agency team. This role requires a strategic mindset and the ability to lead and manage a team to executional excellence for your client(s). This role is part manager and part executioner across top to bottom funnel performance media including paid search, paid social, programmatic display and video. You will work closely alongside your JD team and your client(s) team to deeply understand their business, create trust and be held responsible for maintaining a solid relationship. To thrive in this role you need to have curiosity and creativity to expose yourself to what's new and to continuously learn through thought leadership. You will leverage that curiosity to provide your own thought leadership within JD and externally as well.
Responsibilities
  • Focus on management of client's strategic objectives while leading multi-channel tactical activation.
  • Develop a deep understanding of each client's business and guide client reporting delivery while building towards a more advanced data-led strategy.
  • Drive successful client outcomes and build trust through oversight of flawless multi-channel ad delivery and optimizations.
  • Support strategic external relationship development across client organization and agency partnerships.
  • Lead the development of complex multi-channel marketing plans which may include, but are not limited to paid search, paid social, programmatic display and video.
  • Lead advancement of the client relationship through oversight of more complex deliverables including quarterly business reviews and strategic POVs.
  • Lead a team of employees to success by providing thoughtful management, training in key areas, and fostering an environment for growth and development opportunities.
  • Demonstrate subject matter expertise by identifying key industry changes & evolutions, and emerging technology innovations to provide informed thought leadership.
  • Support agency development by contributing to new business needs and collaborating across teams for internal projects.
  • Analyze complex data sets across systems to provide meaningful insight with the goal of actionable next steps.
  • Travel Requirements: Must be able and willing to travel between NY & Dallas offices and to client and other company meetings within the U.S., as needed.

Qualifications
  • 5+ years' experience in managing paid media across digital channels - search (organic and paid), social, display, programmatic, and video.
  • 1+ years experience managing direct reports.
  • Proven ability to produce innovative media plans and go-to-market strategies for complex clients.
  • Understanding and demonstrated experience of performance media principles - driving positive ROAS, maximizing lead generation and marketing subscription-based programs.
  • Analytically minded - you aren't afraid to dig in to troubleshoot issues and you're always thinking about ways to improve in order to drive retention of clients.
  • Strong project management skills with ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent team player with strong collaboration skills.
  • Has a positive attitude and can-do mentality to drive teams forward.
  • Excited by digital marketing trends and inspired to enact best-in-class programs for clients.
  • Consistently demonstrates behavior in line with January Digital's core traits.
  • Experience working with creative and development teams to produce and iterate digital assets preferred.

January Digital is committed to providing our employees with flexible work options that allow them to balance their professional and personal responsibilities. As such, we offer a hybrid work policy that allows employees to divide their time between working in the office and working remotely. Under this policy, employees are required to work in either our Dallas or NYC office at least 5 days per month, however you are welcome to come in as often as you'd like! These days will be determined by your manager and/or team.
The salary range for this role in Dallas is $80,500 to $100,000, depending on experience. Our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry, and are one part of the total compensation package that also includes a bi-annual performance bonus, free health insurance, annual wellness stipend, company 401k contribution, & more.
