Compensation ranges per hour: 

Installer II  $22.95 - $26.22

Installer III $24.84 - $28.39

The base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. Actual total compensation will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience and qualifications.

Position Summary

Location: South Seattle, WA

Hours: Monday - Friday; Night Shift 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm plus overtime

The Installer II is responsible for assisting in the receiving, delivery, and installation of furniture at customer sites. The Installer II is one of the last points of contact for the customer in the sales process and contributes to the goal of providing the highest level of customer service and satisfaction.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Perform disassembly and reassembly of all Steelcase and office systems furniture

Recommend solutions to improve and redesign the job site, or customize to get the job completed

Accurately complete and submit required paperwork, i.e., timesheets, merchandise return

Properly load and pack the truck for deliveries

Knowledge & experience of wall mount applications (whiteboards, lockers)

Provide backup assistance for all warehouse duties, as necessary

Adherence to Operations procedures, policies, and standards of conduct off-site

Work closely with the Operations Lead and Lead installer to coordinate on-site progress and issues.

Assist in teaching new Installers essential job functions

Basic computer troubleshooting ability

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Should possess excellent communication skills; both verbal and written

Understanding and knowledge of product lines and services offered

Effective customer service skills

Ability to follow instructions and adhere to department and company policies and procedures

Mindful of maintaining safety in the work environment

Understanding of and effective use of blueprints

Must be able to provide own tool set as defined by OpenSquare

Position requires ownership/access to a reliable vehicle

Must be able to drive company vehicles (no CDL required)

Must have a valid driver's license in the state of Washington and maintain a good driving record, along with unexpired or current auto insurance.

Ability to work independently with little to no supervision

Basic understanding of hand tools (manual and power)

Ability to meet established deadlines

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent required

Two or more years of related work experience; installation of commercial office furniture experience preferred
