Job description

Description of Work The City of Monticello is seeking applicants to fill an opening on the Parks, Arts & Recreation Commission (PARC). The Commission normally meets on the fourth Thursday of the month at 8 a.m. with an occasional special meeting

Meetings typically last 1-1/2 hours. Responsibilities The Parks, Arts & Recreation Commission develops, and reviews plans for the acquisition and development of parks and recreational facilities, develops recreation programs, reviews parkland dedications for new subdivisions and makes recommendations to the Planning Commission and City Council. Parks, Arts & Recreation Commission members are each assigned to monitor parks and serve as a liaison between the community and the City Council on park issues.

Minimum and Preferred Qualifications Must be a resident of Monticello or Monticello Township.
