Associate Veterinarian
Department: Veterinarians

Description
We are looking for an experienced Associate Veterinarian to join our team at Veterinary Wellness Center of New Haven to share our passion for practicing veterinary medicine.

  • Medical and surgical excellence: Seeing a variety of cases including acute and chronic disease patients, as well as routine and advanced surgical procedures - spay/neuter, mass removals, foreign bodies, dental extractions, etc.
  • A high standard of care: Providing client education and preventive care for wellness patients and offering comprehensive treatment options for sick patients.
  • Working with our collaborative, 3 DVM team and skilled support staff in recently renovated, thoughtfully planned facility.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree from an AVMA accredited university, or equivalent
  • Active veterinarian license to practice in the state of Connecticut, or license-eligible
  • Experienced in companion animal medicine
  • Interest in a mix of medicine and surgical cases
  • A commitment to the highest standard of medicine and upholding the veterinary code of ethics

Compensation is negotiable based on experience and relevant credentials with an annual base salary range of $120,000 - $150,000 for full-time employment, plus production. Additional compensation components may be included such as sign-on bonus and other pay incentives. Salary is prorated for part-time employment.
