Job description

Guest Ambassador 
Job Purpose:
- To provide exceptional customer service and parking assistance to guests visiting the downtown area, ensuring a smooth and positive parking experience. This role involves managing parking facilities, directing traffic, assisting with payments and maintaining a clean and organized environment. The Guest Ambassador will act as a helpful and informative resource for visitors, contributing to a welcoming and efficient downtown parking system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome guests arriving at the downtown parking facilities, providing clear and concise directions to available parking spaces.
- Monitor parking lot traffic flow, ensuring smooth and efficient vehicle movement and addressing any congestion or safety concerns.
- Assist guests with parking payment procedures, including operating automated payment machines and troubleshooting any payment issues.
- Provide information and assistance to guests regarding downtown businesses and services, acting as a knowledgeable resource for visitors.
- Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the parking facilities, including litter removal and reporting any maintenance or safety hazards.
- Enforce parking regulations and address any violations in a professional and courteous manner.
- Respond to guest inquiries and complaints promptly and effectively, striving to resolve any issues and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Provide support to other parking staff and collaborate to maintain a cohesive and efficient parking operation.
- Maintain accurate records of parking transactions and activity, reporting any discrepancies or irregularities to the appropriate personnel.
- Stay informed about downtown events and activities to anticipate parking demands and provide proactive assistance to guests.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety regulations and customer service standards.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Required Experience:
- Minimum of one year of experience in a customer service-oriented role, preferably in a parking or hospitality environment.
- Experience handling credit card transactions.
- Experience operating parking equipment such as gates and ticket dispensers (preferred).
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent customer service skills, including the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with a diverse range of customers.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain a positive and helpful attitude in all interactions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math skills and the ability to accurately handle credit card transactions.
- Ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues and report malfunctions to appropriate personnel.
