A parking attendant is a customer-focused, outdoor-based staff member responsible for directing traffic, maximizing parking capacity, and ensuring safety during high-volume ingress and egress. They greet guests, manage parking passes or payments, enforce parking policies, and often use traffic wands and signage to guide vehicles efficiently.


They are crucial for creating a positive initial experience, acting as "ambassadors" before guests enter the venue.

Key Responsibilities and Characteristics:

-Directs cars to designated spaces using hand signals, flashlights, or traffic wands to optimize space utilization.

-Manages flow during peak entry/exit times to minimize congestion.

-Acts as a, sometimes, initial point of contact, offering directions to entrances, amenities, or specific parking areas.

-Monitors lots for hazards, ensures compliance with parking regulations, and reports suspicious activity or accidents to supervisors.

-Works outdoors in various weather conditions (heat, cold, rain), often standing for long periods.
