Park Ambassador  

Job Summary 

Want to be part of something SPECTACULAR in the Great Smoky Mountains? Imagine a rewarding role working with the nicest people, surrounded by breathtaking views atop Gatlinburg. As a Park Ambassador, you’ll be at the heart of our award-winning adventure park—welcoming guests, promoting safety, guiding them through our Adventure Elements, and helping create unforgettable experiences at the top of the Smokies. 

Responsibilities 

  • Greet and educate guests about Adventure Elements including TreeVenture, BearVenture, Astra Lumina, and BirdVenture. 

  • Open and close adventure areas according to daily operating schedules. 

  • Monitor guest activity and ensure all safety protocols and guidelines are followed. 

  • Provide helpful park knowledge, wildlife facts, scenic recommendations, and photo opportunities. 

  • Serve as an approachable and reliable source of guest assistance throughout the day. 

  • Deliver clear safety instructions and confidently enforce posted regulations. 

  • Maintain a professional, friendly, and positive attitude—even during peak visitation times. 

  • Perform additional duties as assigned. 

Qualifications 

  • Must be 16 years of age or older. 

  • Strong communication and guest service skills. 

  • Enthusiastic, outgoing, and proactive personality. 

  • Ability to navigate uneven mountaintop terrain with ease. 

  • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions. 

  • Availability to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. 

Physical Requirements 

  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.; ability to push, pull, grasp, kneel, stoop, climb, balance, crouch, and crawl. 

  • Must be able to walk or stand for extended periods on uneven surfaces. 

  • Must be able to safely lift, carry, and move materials independently and with team assistance when necessary. 

  • Ability to perform physical tasks including pushing, pulling, grasping, bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing, and reaching overhead. 

  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, including on uneven surfaces and stairs. 

  • Ability to safely handle heavy, bulky, or awkward items using proper lifting techniques and assistance as needed. 

  • Capable of working in a physically demanding environment with frequent movement and manual labor activities.
