Job description

Stord is The Consumer Experience Company, powering seamless checkout through delivery for today's leading brands. Stord is rapidly growing and is on track to double our revenue in the next 18 months. To meet and exceed this target, Stord is strategically scaling teams across the entire company, and seeking energetic experts to help us achieve our mission.
By combining comprehensive commerce-enablement technology with high-volume fulfillment services, Stord provides brands a platform to compete with retail giants. Stord manages over $10 billion of commerce annually through its fulfillment, warehousing, transportation, and operator-built software suite including OMS, Pre- and Post-Purchase, and WMS platforms. Stord is leveling the playing field for all brands to deliver the best consumer experience at scale.
With Stord, brands can increase cart conversion, improve unit economics, and drive sustained customer loyalty. Stord's end-to-end commerce solutions combine best-in-class omnichannel fulfillment and shipping with leading technology to ensure fast shipping, reliable delivery promises, easy access to more channels, and improved margins on every order.
Hundreds of leading DTC and B2B companies like AG1, True Classic, Native, Seed Health, quip, goodr, Sundays for Dogs, and more trust Stord to deliver industry-leading consumer experiences on every order. Stord is headquartered in Atlanta with facilities across the United States, Canada, and Europe. Stord is backed by top-tier investors including Kleiner Perkins, Franklin Templeton, Founders Fund, Strike Capital, Baillie Gifford, and Salesforce Ventures.
Stord is The Consumer Experience Company, powering seamless checkout through delivery for today's leading brands. We manage over $10 billion of commerce annually and are building the AI-first logistics platform for modern commerce.
Standalone Parcel is our most important growth bet. It decouples Stord's carrier network, rate shopping, and label generation from our fulfillment network and offers them as an API-first service that any brand can use - regardless of their OMS or WMS. It unlocks a new, parcel-only customer segment and, by increasing shipment volume, strengthens Stord's leverage with carriers across the entire network.
This role owns that initiative and the broader connectivity layer around it: the Standalone Parcel API, the integration patterns that meet brands where they are, the external TMS and tracking integrations that power the network, and the work of bringing newly acquired businesses onto the platform. We are looking for a product manager who thinks in APIs and integrations but never loses sight of the revenue and the customer on the other end.
What makes this role transformational:
You will own Standalone Parcel - Stord's highest-priority revenue initiative - from integration model to API surface to launch.
You will own the portfolio of external carrier and TMS integrations (Shipium, EasyPost, and emerging international providers) that the entire network depends on.
You will own external tracking and visibility, including the providers that fill gaps where our primary carriers fall short.
You will lead the integration of newly acquired businesses onto the Stord platform and the exposure of TMS data to other Stord systems.
What You'll Do:
Standalone Parcel Product (35%):
  • Own the Standalone Parcel offering and its flexible integration model (direct API, Stord-centric, and hybrid/customer-system flows).
  • Own the Standalone Parcel APIs and the Parcel Rating API that lets customers and other Stord services retrieve quotes without initiating a label workflow.
  • Own supporting capabilities that make the API production-ready for external brands, including address validation and the manifest API for shipment visibility.
  • Partner with the Commercial Product Owner, go-to-market, and the Director of TMS - bringing your own product vision for the portal and APIs, not just turning requirements into specs.

External TMS & Carrier Integrations (25%):
  • Own the integrations to external TMS providers - Shipium (primary) and EasyPost (secondary) - including integration roadmaps, capability gaps, and escalations.
  • Lead evaluation, onboarding, and integration of emerging international providers as Stord expands its global footprint.
  • Own vendor-account support, including bring-your-own-carrier and drop-ship scenarios that broaden the brands Stord can serve.
  • Drive the strategy to keep business-critical logic internal while using external providers for what they do best (e.g. label generation).

Tracking & Visibility (15%):
  • Own external tracking integrations (e.g. EasyPost) and the evaluation of additional providers to fill tracking gaps, especially internationally.
  • Own time-in-transit as an externally-informed capability and the manifest visibility that brands rely on.
  • Deliver a unified, dependable tracking experience across a heterogeneous carrier network.

Acquired-Business & Cross-System Integration (15%):
  • Lead the integration of newly acquired businesses (e.g. W2G, and future acquisitions) onto the Stord platform, in coordination with Core TMS for any audit/rating changes.
  • Own the exposure of TMS rating and charge data to other Stord systems, including parcel rates and audited charges surfaced in the OMS.
  • Own manifesting workflows that connect Stord to brands' fulfillment processes.

Partner & Vendor Management (10%):
  • Serve as the product relationship owner for external TMS, carrier, and tracking partners.
  • Run point on establishing relationships with additional providers for international expansion.
  • Represent Stord's integration needs in commercial and technical discussions with partners.
What You'll Need:
Integration & API Product Expertise:
  • Hands-on experience owning API products and external integrations at meaningful scale.
  • Understanding of integration patterns (direct, hybrid, system-to-system) and how to meet customers with different technical capabilities.
  • Familiarity with carrier and TMS APIs and the realities of integrating heterogeneous external systems.
  • Instinct for versioning, reliability, error handling, and the operational realities of running integrations in production.

Commercial Product Sense:
  • Track record building B2B or platform products that generate revenue - ideally taking an internal capability to an external, commercial offering.
  • Understanding of how API-first products are packaged, onboarded, and adopted.
  • Ability to align product decisions with revenue, margin, and go-to-market needs.

Carrier & Logistics Ecosystem Knowledge:
  • Familiarity with parcel carrier operations, tracking, and manifesting.
  • Exposure to external TMS providers (Shipium, EasyPost, or comparable) and how they fit a broader stack.
  • Experience with or strong interest in international parcel shipping, including tracking and carrier complexity.

Partner Management & Execution:
  • Experience managing external vendor and partner relationships, both commercial and technical.
  • Ability to evaluate and onboard new providers with a clear build-vs-buy-vs-integrate framework.
  • Strong concept docs, user stories, and acceptance criteria, and comfort in a defined product-engineering workflow.

What Gets Us Really Excited:
  • You have taken an internal capability and turned it into an external, API-first product that generated revenue.
  • You have owned a portfolio of third-party integrations and have strong opinions on how to evaluate and prioritize them.
  • You have built tracking, manifesting, or visibility products across multiple carriers or providers.
  • You have integrated an acquired business onto a platform and understand the messiness involved.
  • You think about the customer and the revenue even when the work is deeply technical.
  • You have built a customer-facing shipping or logistics product, or comparable) and have strong, specific opinions about where that kind of product should go next.
Key Technical Areas:
Standalone Parcel & APIs:
  • API-first product design and external integration patterns
  • Parcel Rating API and quote-without-label flows
  • Address validation and manifest APIs
  • Multi-tenant and external-customer considerations

Carrier & TMS Integrations:
  • External TMS provider integration (Shipium, EasyPost) and emerging international providers
  • Carrier onboarding and vendor-account / bring-your-own-carrier support
  • Integration reliability, error handling, and versioning

Tracking & Visibility:
  • External tracking integrations and provider evaluation
  • Tracking aggregation across a heterogeneous carrier network
  • Time-in-transit and manifest visibility

Cross-System & Acquired-Business:
  • Acquired-business onboarding (e.g. W2G) and platform integration
  • Exposing parcel rates and audited charges to the OMS (S1C)
  • Coordination with Core TMS on rating/audit dependencies
