Orbus Visual Communications® is North America’s largest producer and manufacturer of visual communications products and solutions for workplace interiors, retail environments, tradeshows, and events. We are currently hiring an experienced Shipping Associate to join our Shipping team!

The right candidate will possess strong written and verbal communication skills and have previous shipping experience. We are an aggressively growing company looking for candidates seeking long-term employment that will mature and develop with our business and want to be rewarded for their positive contribution.

Hours:

Monday - Friday 12:30pm - 9:00pm schedule with OT as needed.

Job Responsibilities:

• Routinely demonstrates and creates a helpful and positive work culture

• Pick, pack, and ship

• Collect parcel shipments from other areas to be processed

• Complete “incomplete orders” in the shipping area

• Able to multitask and work extended hours with short notice, including, on occasion, weekends

• Unload containers and palletize boxed product by hand working in a team environment

• Willing to learn

• Occasionally working in other departments to support the overall operation

• Knowledge of how to pick with RF scanner

• Sort orders based on freight terms and ship method: Ground vs Express, UPS and FedEx

• Confirms and processes small parcel shipments through UPS and FedEx shipping software

• Verify package weight and shipment information is accurate

• Capture dimensions of parcel boxes by hand, using a tape measure, weight using a scale

• Ensure shipment reconciliation by number of boxes, and read shipping specifications like address information, freight terms, etc.

• Printing and application of shipping labels on packages, staging for shipment

• Follows quality verification standards to ensure conformance to Orbus quality standards

• Prior experience with forklift equipment

• Other tasks and duties as assigned by the Supervisor/Manager in support of the overall operation

Minimum Requirements:

• Analytical and able to work with numbers

• A least 1 year in a similar position within a manufacturing or distribution center

• Able to multitask and work on special projects as required

• Minimum six months’ experience utilizing Fed-Ex, UPS, or other shipping software (REQUIRED)

• Prior experience in processing customer orders, inventory control, and/or production data entry

• Attention to Detail

• Ability to occasionally lift/carry up to 75 pounds

• Know and understand common acronyms and packaging terminology

• Monitoring performance of self, others, or organization to make improvements or take corrective actions

• Active listening

• Ability to understand written sentences and paragraphs in work-related documents
