Responsibilities

As a PRN PCT member of our Internal Resource Pool, you will be the heartbeat of support โ€“ helping teams deliver quality care every shift. You'll have the flexibility to pick up shifts, between 200 and 900 hours per year (12 months from hire). From Labor & Delivery and Emergency to Med Surg, Telemetry and more, you'll work across diverse clinical areas while supporting the exceptional care Community is known for. Working under the supervision of licensed clinical staff, you'll play an essential role in maintaining patient comfort, safety and efficient unit operations.

  • Assist with direct patient care, including vital signs, hygiene, mobility, feeding, intake/output, and other daily activities.
  • Support nurses and providers in patient monitoring, documentation, and coordination to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Maintain cleanliness and readiness of patient rooms, equipment, and supplies to promote a safe and organized environment.
  • Provide clerical and administrative support, facilitating communication within the care team.

Qualifications
  • 1 year of CNA experience in an acute care hospital
  • BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required
  • One of the following is required
    • CNA - State of California Certified Nursing Assistant Certification (active or inactive status is acceptable)
    • EMT - Emergency Medical Technician Certification issued by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (active or inactive status is acceptable)
    • AEMT - Advanced Emergency Medical Technician Certification issued by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (active or inactive status is acceptable)
    • PARAMEDICC - Paramedic Certification issued by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (active or inactive status is acceptable)
    • Enrollment in, or completion of, an accredited clinical RN or LVN program
