$23.98 - $35.97 an hour - Per Diem Days, Various hours per week
*Range includes per diem differential. +$2.50/hr for weekend shifts. 
Boulder Community Health is seeking a Paramedic for the urgent care department. Under general supervision, a paramedic provides basic to advanced emergency rescue and paramedical care to the ill and injured.

Qualifications 
• High School graduate or equivalent; higher degree or diploma preferred
• Current certification in the State of Colorado as a Paramedic
• NREMT 
• BLS required
• ACLS required
• One year of experience as an EMT-P preferred
Responsibilities
• Contribute to Urgent Care Department operations and efficiency
o Assist NP in utilizing department flow and patient placement throughout Urgent Care Department
o Maintain competence in documentation and care of patients
o Utilize SBAR (Situation, Background, Assessment, and Recommendation) for communication
o Able to cover desk coordination and function tasks for communication, notifications, order entry support
o Attend meetings and in-services as required by departmental policy
• Perform the following technical skills:
o Vital Signs
o Oxygen Administration, BLS airway adjuncts
o Assist in airway management
o CPR
o IV initiation and removal on all ages
o Initiation of crystalloid fluid via IV, medication drip, and electrolyte infusions as specifically authorized in this Job Description
o Splinting and wound care including application of topical anesthetic, wound irrigation, preparation of dressings and steri-strips
o Patient specimen collections (nasal swabs, throat swabs, point of care monitoring, etc.)
o Suture/staple removal
