Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Paramedic-Clinic, you will provide safe and effective patient care within your scope of practice, guided by physician's orders, established standards, and administrative policies, functioning as a vital part of our healthcare team.
Every day you will deliver quality care and service according to the Medical Director's plan of care and scope of practice (Acts Allowed by CDPHE). You will execute patient care interventions decided by the healthcare team, adhering to our philosophy and objectives to meet the healthcare needs of patients and their families.
To be successful in this role, you will possess your Paramedic certification, strong clinical skills, and the ability to work effectively within a healthcare team, guided by a Medical Director while being committed to safe, effective, and high-quality patient care.
  • Accurately and timely documents all tasks, observations, and procedures performed on the patient record according to medical and legal standards.
  • Maintains thorough and confidential maintenance of patient charts and records.
  • Assists physicians with the following skills: moderate/conscious sedation, central line insertions, lumbar punctures, defibrillation, cardioversion, chest tube insertion, thoracentesis, arterial lines, suturing and pelvic exams.
  • Performs IV initiation and removal, including the External Jugular and administers medication.
  • Performs 12Leads EKGs and monitors/interprets telemetry rhythms.
  • Uses standards of care, hospital policies/procedures and regulatory guidelines to guide work.

Job Requirements
Required
  • High School Diploma/G.E.D.
  • Graduation from an accredited Paramedic Training Program, recognized by state of employment Department of Public Health and Environment
  • Three (3) years of experience as a Paramedic in an Emergency Department and/or emergency prehospital setting
  • Current registered Paramedic with the State of employment Department of Public Health and Environment
  • Current Basic Life Support through the American Heart Association
  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support through the American Heart Association
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program: Required at free standing Emergency Departments within six (6) months of hire/transfer. Preferred for all other locations.
