Job description

ASSOCIATE GENERAL DENTIST — MARIETTA , GA   ·Growth-Rewarding Compensation · Profits Interest Pathway.
READ THIS FIRST:
This isn't a "fill the seat" associate role. We're hiring our next clinical leader for a two-location group operating in two of metro Atlanta's most affluent communities — Marietta. The right candidate will build a 36-month clinical career here with a real ownership pathway.
If you're scrolling for the highest sign-on bonus, this isn't your role. We pay above market for performance, but we don't bribe. The dentists who thrive here are the ones who would have stayed even without the perks.

ABOUT THE GROUP:

Two locations. Two affluent patient bases. One operating system.
Marietta Dentist (East Cobb): A high-velocity general practice on a major arterial in one of metro Atlanta's strongest family-income zip codes. Recall-heavy, family-driven, with strong cosmetic and elective case

Across both locations:
  • Consistent monthly new patient flow driven by paid digital + extended-hours scheduling.
  • Same-day dentistry model — we don't waste exam-to-treatment friction.
  • Full clinical stack: digital X-ray, CBCT, in-house implants, IV and oral sedation, surgical guides.
  • Spa-aesthetic facilities designed for high case acceptance.
  • Drama-free teams trained on a shared operational playbook.
  • Diagnostic %, case acceptance, and production tracked and reviewed weekly.

COMPENSATION ARCHITECTURE:
  • We've designed pay around three principles: align with how associate ramps actually work, eliminate collections-based games, and reward growth disproportionately.

MONTHS 1–3 — THE RAMP PERIOD:
  • $1000/day base guarantee against tiered compensation — whichever is higher is what you take home.
  • You'll do your own hygiene during this ramp window. This is intentional: it exposes you to more exams, accelerates your case acceptance reps, and gets your column full faster. As your schedule fills, hygienist support comes online.

MONTH 4 ONWARD — TIERED PRODUCTION COMPENSATION:
  • All compensation is on adjusted production — no collections risk on you. We pay marginal tiers, like income tax brackets. Each dollar of production earns the rate of the tier it falls into:

Monthly Adjusted Production:
  • $0 – $49,999. Tier Rate- 24%.
  • $50,000 – $99,999. Tier Rate-26%.
  • $100,000 – $149,999. Tier Rate-28%.
  • $150,000 – $199,999. Tier Rate-30%.
  • $200,000 – $249,999. Tier Rate- 32%.
  • $250,000+ Tier Rate-34%.

WHAT THIS LOOKS LIKE AT REAL PRODUCTION LEVELS:
Monthly Production-Total Monthly Comp-Annualized:
  • $100,000-$25,000-$300,000.
  • $150,000-$39,000-$468,000.
  • $200,000-$54,000-$648,000.
  • $250,000-$70,000-$840,000.
  • $300,000-$87,000-$1,044,000.

This structure is built for dentists who want to grow. The harder you push, the more disproportionate the reward becomes — the structure is designed to make a $300K/mo. associate take home owner-level income.
PROFITS INTEREST PATHWAY (MONTH 12+).
Performers vest into our location-level profits interest pool — 4% per year, up to 20% over five years. Real cash distributions from actual profit, paid quarterly. Not phantom paper that never triggers.
For the right candidate, pathway to seller-financed equity with no outside debt required.
CAREER ARC — WHAT YEAR 3 LOOKS LIKE:
We build a written 3-year plan with you at offer:
  • Year 1: Master case acceptance in our patient demographic, fill your column, work toward $150K+/mo production.
  • Year 2: Develop a clinical specialty (implants, surgical, IV sedation, clear aligners, advanced endo) — we fund the CE.
  • Year 3: Senior dentist role, vested profits interest, mentor incoming associates, qualify for equity discussion.

As we expand to a third location, the most likely senior dentist for that opening is someone already in our group.
WHAT WE INVEST IN YOU:
  • CE budget for procedures that grow your scope and earnings — implants, surgical, advanced endo, IV sedation, full-arch.
  • Live-patient training opportunities for advanced procedures.
  • Weekly clinical performance review — diagnostic %, case acceptance, and production benchmarked transparently against peers.
  • 30-day onboarding team with proactive daily check-ins to surface friction early.
  • Cross-location exposure to two patient populations (family/recall and emergency/surgical) — accelerates clinical breadth in a way single-location associate roles can't.

THE HIRING PROCESS:
We use a personality profiling system (BenchmarkHire) as part of our final round — a 20-minute structured exercise. We do this because data shows it predicts long-term success more reliably than interviews, and because we want every hire to feel like a deliberate match — not a gamble. Most candidates find it the most thoughtful hiring process they've experienced.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • DDS/DMD with active Georgia license (or able to obtain within 60 days).
  • Comfort with restorative, removable, basic surgery, and emergency triage.
  • Bonus clinical skills welcome: implants, IV sedation, surgical extractions, clear aligners, advanced endo.
  • Most importantly: growth mindset, coachability, composure under emergency walk-in pressure, and the intent to build a 3+ year career here.

HOW TO APPLY:
Send your CV plus a short note (one paragraph is plenty) on what you want your 3-year clinical arc to look like.
We don't read cover letters about how great you are. We read for clarity on what you actually want to build.
