The role…

As a member of the Urbana team, you will be responsible for achieving optimum productivity while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. This position supports a 24/7 operation working a 3-2-2 schedule rotating 2 weeks 7a-7p then 2 weeks 7p-7a.

How you’ll make an impact…

  • Comprehensive understanding of personal and machine-specific safety
  • Maintain a safe, clean work environment
  • Physically inspect, communicate, and troubleshoot the quality of product and customer/order specifications
  • Retrieve order specs, documentation, and order data to/from SAP
  • Assist in machine maintenance and perform periodic maintenance to the machine
  • Move material to and around the paper mill and stock prep area

What do you bring…

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Two years of manufacturing experience (paper mill experience preferred)
  • Ability to use precision measuring equipment such as a ruler, tape measure, caliper, and micrometer
  • Ability to read work instructions and apply them to the job
  • Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment
  • Ability to train others and willingness to cross-train
