Job description

Nippon Dynawave Packaging Company (NDP) has an immediate opening for a Foreman to support its Longview, Washington Liquid Packaging manufacturing facility.

The Longview Liquid Packaging facility produces market pulp and bleached paperboard used to make cartons and cups for liquids such as milk, juice, coffee and sake. The facility employs over 550 people and produces 260,000 metric tons of paperboard each year — the equivalent of 6 billion liter-sized milk cartons.

We are looking for an experienced Foreman to oversee our production operations. You’ll guarantee that manufacturing remains a smooth and efficient process by monitoring employees and organizing workflows.

In a fast-paced environment like a paper mill, the supervisor is an integral part of the manufacturing process. They must be competent and comprehend complex operations. You should also be able to optimize day-to-day activities while minimizing the costs.

The goal is to ensure that production processes deliver products of maximum quality in a profitable manner.

  • Inspect repairs/modifications and observe test runs to ensure safe, reliable operations.
  • Perform administrative duties such as preparing appropriate reports for equipment/machinery and maintaining accurate payroll records.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities in a highly challenging work environment.
Requirements
  • Prefer a minimum 5 years supervisory experience in Pulp and Paper industry or other manufacturing environments.
  • Knowledge of industrial safety procedures and OSHA regulations.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

  • Exceptional communication skills: written, oral, and listening.
  • Ability to lead problem solving and analyze results to ensure objectives are met in a group/team environment.
  • Ability to work varying shifts including nights and weekends.
Benefits
  • Paid Time-off, including vacation, eight paid holidays and additional four floating holidays
