A1 Mechanical is currently looking for a Sales/ Estimating Assistant. This position is an entry level position where the correct candidate can learn vital parts of the Sales/ Estimating process, and create career growth potential. Our company was established in 1983, and we provide HVAC Repair, Replacement and Installation services in both the residential and commercial environments. The qualified candidate will perform clerical and administrative functions in order to d rive company success. This is for a full-time position working with our residential new construction sales and estimating Primary Function: Preparation of bids, estimates and budget on residential new construction and multi-family construction projects.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Review construction documents and understands scope of work to bidRead and understand salesmen notes and specifications to confirm proper paper work is created.Provide necessary support to other team members to be able to complete tasks on time.Create and maintain cordial and collaborative working relationships with superiors, co - workers, builders and inspectors.Visit construction sites and observe methods of construction to gain additional insight that will assist in accurately estimating jobsDevelops and maintains resource information on products, vendors, subcontractors, etc.Review all estimates with Group Leader or Project Manager to ensure accuracy and completeness, prior to formal quotationUtilize standard formats for completing the estimatesEnsure all working documents and data are maintained to backup estimate figuresFile all incoming vendor quotes and subcontractor quotes in the job folderTrack estimates for statusMaintain a bid sheet with all pertinent informationAttends departmental meetings as requiredRegular in-person attendanceOther miscellaneous duties as assigned by immediate supervisorPosition is contingent on satisfactory results of background check, drug screen, physical, and motor vehicle record.
