Location: Newport News, VA
Shift: 8 AM - 4:30 PM
Type: Contract to Hire
About the company: Our client is a leader in custom precision Sheetmetal manufacturing on the East Coast.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enter and pay vendor bills via check, ACH, or electronic methods
- Maintain multiple credit card and checking account balances for multiple related entities, reconciling monthly statements
- Process payroll weekly including both paper checks and direct deposit
- Provide administrative support to multiple departments and managers

- 4+ years of Bookkeeping/Accounting in a small - medium size business
- 3+ years of experience using Quickbooks Desktop.
- 3+ years of experience in Payroll , Accounts Payable/Receivable, approving and paying vendor invoices for materials and/or supplies.
- Thorough understanding of General Ledger based accounting.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and Outlook or similar email program or app.
