Position Summary

The Manager, Marketing Activation & Events, is a lead marketing role for Charlotte FC and a key member of the Club’s leadership team. The role oversees events, experiential marketing, influencer, and other targeted tactics designed to grow CLTFC awareness and fandom. Priorities include developing and executing comprehensive marketing activation strategies to strengthen the brand; fueling fandom and engagement through compelling campaigns; and capturing new potential fans through marketing tactics designed to meet potential fans where they are. This person thrives on building and maintaining strong working alliances with other leaders, internally and externally. The role requires constant communication with teammates in ticketing, partnerships, facility operations, community engagement, communications, and soccer operations, along with external vendors and partners to host and execute marketing activations and events. The Manager, Marketing Activation & Events, is naturally curious about what will take the CLTFC brand to the next level and is an expert collaborator with a history of breakthrough activations.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of large-scale, club-owned brand events.
  • Work with theTicketingteam to execute Season Ticket Member appreciation programs,andsupport the planning and delivery of other departmental events to ensure consistent brand representation.
  • Manage the club-wide event calendar, including management of promotional items to support key dates and events.
  • Lead the strategy and planning for viewing parties, in collaboration with the Partnerships Marketing team.
  • Leadmatchday fan experiencemarketing initiatives including pre-match/post-matchactivations and events, and gate giveaway planning and distribution in collaboration with the Partnerships Marketing team.
  • Lead influencer campaigns and activations around our events and matches.
  • Serve as the central point of contact for the club-wide apparel ordering program.
  • Lead and manage a team of one coordinator and one intern to support department efforts.
  • Grow fan affinity & fan sentiment; Deliver talked about events & experiences across the enterprise both on gameday / match day and year-round.
  • Evolve existing and create new products, services & benefits that fans value.
  • Grow the brand regionally, nationally, and globally &ultimately becomeone of the most loved brands in sports.
  • Work with internal clients to drive campaign performance from ideation to execution.
  • Work alongside Head of Marketing and other Marketing leaders to develop comprehensive annual marketing strategies, including promotional calendars and media strategies with the ticket sales team that support campaigns, tell the brand story, and focus on call to action.
  • Build experiential lead generation campaigns that drive ticket sales
  • Establish andmonitorstaff performance, developmentgoalsand department priorities
  • Partner withCommunityOutreach team to develop collaborative events and live engagement strategies.

Qualifications, Skills and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, sports, business management, communications, or related field.
  • Minimum 5+ years of progressive experience in marketing activation, experiential marketing, events, or related fields.
  • 1 - 2 years+ direct managerial experience
  • Knowledge of soccer, professional soccer leagues, and MLS
  • Native Spanish language speaker (bilingual English + Spanish) strongly preferred
  • Sports & entertainment, property, or agency experience.

This job operates mostly in an office environment and outside in a stadium facility at times which may include inclement weather conditions. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Some travel may be required to away games or for other business purposes.
