The Warehouse Technician will be willing and able to seamlessly change positions between current ATL, Manifest, Loadout/Oil/Receiving, and Forklift Operations to meet plant needs on their respective shift to help reach Hermiston's CBN goals.Job DescriptionFollows all plant safety policies and procedures. Be actively involved in safety, participate in safety programs, attend Shift Daily Direction Setting Meeting, engage in safety activities, perform risk assessments, and demonstrate ownership as well as leadership in personal safety and the safety of other team members.Completes daily safety/maintenance check forklift, record and report any malfunction.Operates cohesively with additional Warehouse Technician team members in management of the Warehouse area; including but not limited to all job functions of ATL, Manifest, Loadout, Oil, Receiving, and Forklift Operations.Ensures that packaging maintains adequate amounts of materials for daily operations and removes and replaces all waste bins.Observes and reports any quality issues with finished product, such as damaged packaging cases, damaged bags inside of cases, or inaccurate or illegible case codes and ensures that all products are ticketed in compliance with company standards and applicable laws.Stores product in proper location in freezer, restacking, sorting, and organizing the freezer to maintain a neat, orderly appearance, accurate inventory, even designated bin height, and location of product. Supplies product for blending, repacking, and shipment to cold storage as needed. Follows the procedure for First In First Out (FIFO), good housekeeping practices, and GMPs at all times.Unloads oil by truck or rail, ensuring that all necessary documentation is properly filled out and maintained.Performs all duties associated with the startup and shutdown of manifest after each shift to ensure proper and accurate documentation of product manifested per shift.Completes all forms in accurate, timely and legible manner and can identify cases, labels, cuts, colors, catalog numbers, day codes and acceptable case conditions.Any other task as directed by Warehouse Lead or Team LeadersBasic & Preferred QualificationsMinimum qualifications required to successfully perform the job or be consideredEducation/ Certifications: (Required & Preferred) High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.Skills and Experience: 1-2 years of experience in warehousing, specifically in a food manufacturing or related field, preferred.Ability to utilize multiple touchscreen computer panels, operate palletizer, stretch wrap machines and scan gun, and train on manifest printers, palletizer area conveyors, operation of roll-up doors, computer and Microsoft office programs and other equipment as assigned for multiple packaging lines.Functions well in team environment and contributes to a positive and inclusive team environment.Trained and qualified in ATL, Manifest, Loadout, Oil Receiving, and Forklift Operations.Team member must be Lock-out/ Tag-out qualified.
