As a Pallet Sorter, you will empty return trailers from store deliveries of empty pallets, totes, and cardboard bales.Job Description

  • Earn $20.00 per hour + $2.00 freezer premium ($22.00 start rate)

  • Day Shift: 7:00AM to 5:30PM

  • Schedule: TBD, Sunday and Friday Required

  • Frozen - about -20 - 0

  • Location: 61 Medeiros Way, Westfield MA 01089

You will contribute by:

  • Sorting through returned packaging and move to proper place in warehouse

  • Unloading returned trailer-truck's cargo hold of returned pallets, totes, and cardboard bales

  • Sorting pallets, totes, and cardboard bales according to truck, color, and destination

  • Recording data regarding amount and type of returned packaging

  • Loading packaging onto appropriate trucks according to vendor

  • Cleaning work area at the end of each shift

What's a great way to stay in shape?

  • Continually Standing, bending, pulling, lifting, pivoting up to 90% of shift

  • Walking between 6-12 miles per day on various surfaces including concrete, tile, carpet, etc.

  • Frequently lifting of product weighing between 1 - 60 lbs. or more

  • Frequent lifting of product ranging from floor to overhead

  • Possibility of working on multiple levels of varying height

  • Safe handling of sharp objects including box cutting tools
