Maintenance Technician – Commercial Property

Olen is seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Technician to join our Commercial Property team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity and functionality of our commercial properties. This position requires a proactive individual with experience in general repairs, office refurbishment and interior/exterior building maintenance repairs.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as painting, drywall, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical repairs. These tasks can include, but are not limited to, repairing or replacing:
    • Minor plumbing - sinks, toilets and/or water heaters
    • Minor electrical – lights, ballasts
    • Minor carpentry – door frames, locking doorknobs, baseboards, and finishings
  • Identify and repair roof leaks.
  • Respond to emergency calls after scheduled work hours, weekends, and holidays, when needed.
  • Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and company standards.
  • Perform other general maintenance tasks, as assigned.

*Other duties may be assigned in support of departmental goals

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 2+ years of related maintenance experience preferred.

Key Competencies/Skills:

  • Experience in light construction including drywall repair, ceiling repair, electrical/plumbing work, and painting, etc.
  • Must have a clean DMV driving record and current automobile insurance coverage.
  • Must have a reliable personal vehicle and small tools.
  • Ability and knowledge to work with small hand tools.
  • Effective problem solving and time management skills.
  • Able to work weekends and after hours, when necessary.

Job Type:   Full-time (8-hour shift), Monday – Friday, with weekends and evenings as needed
