Job description

Senior Industrial Hygienist

Reno, NV

AllPro Environmental Services (AllPro) is an entrepreneurial environmental consulting firm based in South Reno, specializing in Industrial Hygiene services across Northern Nevada and Northern California and recently Arizona. Now in our fourth year, we have built a proven track record, grossing between $1.2M and $1.5M annually with a lean, close-knit team of six professionals and our own sister microbiology laboratory. We operate a nimble, hands-on office where every team member has real influence on how the company grows. As we scale, we’re looking for an experienced Senior Industrial Hygienist to help shape our next chapter of growth.

This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned professional who would rather help build something than be one more cog in a large organization. We’re looking for someone ready to invest their expertise in a small company with a proven track record and real upside - taking the lead in fieldwork, expanding our client base, and strengthening relationships with existing clients. Right now, roughly half of our work is residential, and we are strategically transitioning toward commercial, municipal, and government projects. The person in this role will play a direct part in driving that shift and, for the right candidate, has a genuine pathway toward future management or ownership. If you value autonomy, visible impact, and a real say in the direction of a growing firm, this is a rare chance to grow your career while helping establish a leading environmental consulting company in the region.

Why Join AllPro?
  • Ground-Floor Growth & Future Leadership: Join a six-person team where your contributions are immediately visible and directly shape our success. As a fourth-year firm with a proven track record and a sister microbiology lab, we offer the stability of an established business with the upside of a start-up—including a genuine pathway to management or ownership for the right person.
  • Diverse Project Work: You will work on a wide variety of projects - asbestos and lead-based paint (LBP) assessments, mold consulting, exposure assessments for industrial clients, and fire-damaged structure evaluations - while helping us grow our commercial, municipal, and government portfolio.
  • Shape Our Strategic Direction: This role is about far more than fieldwork. You will help lead our transition toward commercial, municipal, and government contracts, cultivate new client relationships, and position AllPro as a trusted expert in the industry - with a direct hand in charting where the company goes next.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct site visits, sample collection, and industrial hygiene assessments.
  • Manage projects across Washoe County, Northern Nevada, Northern California, Las Vegas and Arizona.
  • Prepare detailed technical reports and communicate findings to clients.
  • Assist with client acquisition and development, with a focus on growing commercial, municipal, and government work and contributing to AllPro's continued growth.
  • Lead fieldwork and reporting for asbestos, mold, lead-based paint, fire contamination assessments and IH exposure assessments.
Required Qualifications:
  • Education: BS in environmental science, geology, engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5 years of relevant work experience with a solid foundation in Industrial Hygiene consulting.
  • Certifications: Asbestos certifications and consulting licenses (SST or CAC) for California and Nevada, or equivalent asbestos license from your state. EPA Lead Inspector or Assessor certification and/or California Inspector/Risk Assessor is required.
  • Must be able to demonstrate proven track record with field work, reporting and project management.
  • References will be requested.
  • Skills:
    • Strong technical writing, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience (or willingness to learn) Project management software, Microsoft office products, Adobe & Dropbox.
    • Experienced with XRF with safety training certification.
  • Other Requirements:
    • Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and ability to provide your own vehicle.
    • Ability to pass background checks, drug tests, and provide official transcripts and references.
    • Willingness to relocate to Reno (relocation reimbursement may be offered at the hiring managers discretion).
    • Some vehicle and air travel is required.
    • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Sponsorship is not available.
Compensation & Benefits:
  • Competitive base salary ranging from $75,000 to $100,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. While our start-up stage keeps the base salary right-sized, the total opportunity is designed to reward the impact you make as we grow.
  • Paid Time Off (PTO), Paid Holidays, 401(k), 401(k) Profit Distribution, Group Health Insurance
  • Meaningful upside beyond base pay, including performance-based bonuses and the potential for equity or profit-sharing as the company grows.
  • A clear path to career growth, including potential management and ownership opportunities.

If you're an entrepreneurial-minded professional who wants to help build something- not just fill a position, and share in the growth you help create, we'd love to hear from you.
