Job description

Job Summary

Supports daily job site operations through manual labor, site preparation, demolition, and material handling while performing general painting, sheetrock repair, and drywall finishing duties. This is a 1099 position


Key Responsibilities

  • General Construction Labor: Clean and prepare job sites, set up temporary protection, load/unload materials, and assist skilled trades as needed.
  • Demolition & Site Cleanup: Perform light structural teardowns, clear debris, operate shop vacs, and maintain a safe, hazardous-free work environment.
  • Drywall & Sheetrock Repair: Install, patch, and repair damaged drywall panels, ceilings, and corners.
  • Taping, Floating & Finishing: Apply joint tape and multiple coats of joint compound (mud/float) to achieve smooth, seamless surface finishes.
  • Prep & Surface Work: Mask off fixtures, trim, and floors; sand walls; fill nail holes; and apply primer before painting.
  • Painting: Execute interior and exterior coating using brushes, rollers, and sprayers; maintain clean edges and uniform coverage.


Qualifications & Requirements


  • Skill / Requirement- 1+ years of experience in general construction, site maintenance, painting, or drywall work.
  • Technical Proficiency- Basic-to-intermediate knowledge of sheetrock repairs, mudding/taping, prep work, and tool operation.
  • Physical Demands- Ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, maneuver scaffolding, and perform continuous physical labor.
  • Tools & Equipment- Familiarity with basic hand tools, power tools, joint knives, sanding blocks, and painting tools.
  • Work Ethic- Strong attendance record, safety-first mindset, and ability to follow site lead directions.
