Position Overview

We are seeking a Paint Tinter/Counter Sales Associate to join our team! In this role, you will mix automotive refinishing materials according to supplier formulas, ensuring accuracy and maintaining a clean work environment. Additional responsibilities include taking customer sales orders by phone, email, or in person, providing customer service, and receiving customer complaints to provide a resolution or a referral to management. Attention to detail is crucial for both paint mixing and counter sales tasks. We are willing to train the right candidate, and a strong focus on customer service, safety, organization, and efficiency is key to success in this position.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Mix refinish materials according to paint supplier formulas, ensuring accurate measurements and product consistency.
  • Provide customer service by answering questions about product features, prices, availability, and uses, and handle complaints professionally.
  • Lift and maneuver paint containers up to 50 pounds using proper tools and follow safety protocols, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Assist with inventory management, including stocking shelves, rotating products, and performing inventory cycle counting.
  • Promote safety awareness, continuous improvement, and proper handling of hazardous materials, including cleaning spills and following safety procedures.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED and possess strong accuracy, self-motivation, and problem-solving skills. Effective communication, both written and verbal, is essential, along with the ability to analyze information and make decisions. The ability to stay organized, prioritize tasks efficiently, and manage time effectively is also important.
