The Opportunity
We are actively seeking a painter for the manufacturing floor to set up, operate, or tend machines to coat or paint manufactured sheet metal products with paint, epoxy, or rust-proofing materials using a wide variety of colors.
Responsibilities
  • Observe machine gauges and equipment operation to detect defects or deviations from standards, and make adjustments as necessary.
  • Wash & prepare product before the painting process. Preparation may include, Sand blasting,
  • Determine paint flow, viscosity, and coating quality by performing visual inspections, or by using
  • Select appropriate coatings, paints, or sprays, or prepare them by mixing substances according to
  • Set up and operate machines to paint or coat products with such materials as paint, epoxy, rust
  • Turn dials, hand wheels, valves, or switches to regulate air pressure and circulation, and the flow or
  • Clean machines, related equipment, and work areas, using water, solvents and other cleaning aids.
  • Attach hoses or nozzles to machines, using wrenches and make adjustments to obtain the proper
  • Place items or products on feed racks, spindles, or reel strands to coat, paint, or spray them, using hands, hoists, or truck lifts.
  • Mark and/or tag material with proper job number, piece marks, and other identifying marks as required.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma
  • One to two years related experience preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Computer literate
  • Microsoft Office
