POSTION SALARY: $67,912.00to$107,244.80

**POSITION SUMMARY:**

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for providing daily technical and process support in a designated area within the Operations Department.

**POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:**

  • Process/equipment troubleshooting (including process control systems) to improve batch quality and assistance with cost reduction, process reliability and quality improvement programs.
  • Testing new and existing production procedures
  • Organize and manage manufacturing workflows and resources
  • Optimize facility layouts, production lines, machine operations and network performance
  • Resolve issues and delays in production
  • Collaborate with other engineers, contractors and suppliers
  • Ensure that manufacturing procedures follow safety and environmental regulations
  • Upgrade systems and processes with new technology
  • Expectation is that a successful applicant will develop skill sets and work on small scale capital projects.
  • The main responsibility for this individual will be coordinating/facilitating several efficiency initiatives within the department and following through on them to the point of realized benefits.
  • Confers with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts, and evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards.
  • Works with in-house maintenance and outside contractors to facilitate repairs & improvements.
  • Analyzes and plans space requirements, and workflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.

**POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:**

  • B.S. in Chemical Engineering or related engineering field required.
  • 3+ years’ experience as a manufacturing engineer or similar role preferred.
  • Must be organized to effectively work multiple projects required.
  • Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint preferred.
  • Strong communication skills (written and oral) preferred.
