JOB TITLE: Painter/Laborer
JOB SUMMARY
The Painter/Laborer is responsible for all aspects of paint, from start to finish as well as assisting in other departments as needed.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

  • At least 1 year of experience with prep, sanding, wet sanding, and buffing is required
  • At least 1 year of experience painting on a variety of surfaces to include aluminum, fiberglass, smooth, and various rough surfaces

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • At least 2 years of experience painting a variety of surfaces to include aluminum, fiberglass, smooth and rough surfaces is preferred
  • Reliable, detail orientated, and self-motivated
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and work orders
  • Ability to work within aggressive schedules and deadlines
  • Forklift certification is preferred

CORE DUTIES

  • Clean surfaces prior to layering paint
  • Maintaining technical equipment for the job and ensuring that they are in working order
  • Safely disposing of chemical waste
  • Ensure that PPE such as painting goggles are used
  • Utilizing different painting techniques based on the nature of the surface
  • Assist in other departments as needed  
  • Driving to get paint as needed

HOURS

  • 1st shift position
  • Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
  • Overtime as needed

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Candidates that accept an offer of employment will be required to pass a background and drug screen. Candidates must also meet ATF requirements for firearm possession.
