Paint Foreman
Provides day-to-day leadership to craft crews, oversees field execution, and ensures all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with refinery standards, Austin Industrial procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Direct and supervise craft foremen and skilled craft teams during daily refinery operations, turnarounds, and maintenance activities.
  • Coordinate labor, materials, equipment, and work sequencing to ensure tasks are completed on schedule and within scope.
  • Enforce site safety policies, procedures, and permit-to-work requirements; lead daily safety meetings and job hazard analyses.
  • Monitor job progress, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to ensure work quality and productivity standards are met.
  • Collaborate with operations, planning, engineering, and contractor teams to support project execution.
  • Review and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schedules, and specifications.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including daily reports, time sheets, work orders, and toolbox talks.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback to craft personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, refinery regulations, and all applicable industry standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Qualifications:
  • Experience in a refinery or petrochemical facility (strongly preferred).
  • Multi-craft or turnaround experience (preferred).
  • Knowledge of SAP, maintenance management systems, or scheduling tools.
  • Strong understanding of refinery safety practices, work permits, and hazard recognition.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, drawings, schedules, and job plans.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

Requirements:
  • Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
  • License/Certification: Valid driver's license and ability to meet site access requirements
  • Experience: 5+ years of industrial or refinery experience in a skilled craft trade or maintenance environment.
  • 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience (Foreman or higher)
  • Must meet physical demands listed below.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
