Job Title: Manufacturing Equipment Engineer

Duration: 12 months (Possible extension/conversion)

Location: Georgetown, KY 40324

Shift: Standard Mon to Fri 8-5

Overtime: Yes, 15% during weekdays, weekends, shutdown, holidays and odd hours.

Travel: 30% Only Domestic (project specific)

  • MSRC and or Machine Risk Analysis Experience
  • Experience with new model introduction processes
  • Experience with paint shop booths, ovens, abatement systems, air houses, and enclosures

**Who we’re looking for

:**

The primary responsibility of this role is to evaluate and plan automation robots and expansion projects including process and layout design, equipment specification, standardization across the NAMCs and lead time reduction.

Reporting to the Equipment Planning Group Engineering Manager, the person in this role will support the Paint PE department's objective to plan equipment for new vehicle projects, refurbishment and equipment life cycle management for the North American plants.

**What you’ll be doing

:**

  • Support evaluation of equipment project proposals, including process and equipment capability assessments
  • Develop strategies and lead implementation for North American equipment deployment and standardization projects.
  • Create presentations and reports to communicate project status and key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Become an expert in multiple paint shop technologies and systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve goals
  • Develop standards and RJs for the new technologies and improve gentani for equipment specifications, including CoHE compliance and cross NAM standardization
  • Develop standards and improve specifications for equipment, ensuring CoHE compliance and cross-NAM standardization
  • Lead specifications, and development processes

**What you bring:

**

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent experience in a client engineering or technical role

  • Experience with CAD or similar modeling software

  • Experience with spec development

  • Experience creating A3 and/or Ringi documents for equipment procurement

  • Ability to identify project constraints and develop effective countermeasures

  • 2+ years of project management experience

  • PLC experience and knowledge – Nice to have
