For over 25 years, Superior Industrial Maintenance Co. has been one of the leading nationwide industrial coating and linings, tank, terminal, and pipeline repair, as well as lead/asbestos abatement contractors. We provide turnkey services for the power generation, military & commercial aviation fuel, chemical, industrial, food & beverage, and water industries.
About the Role
Superior Industrial Maintenance is looking for a Coating Technician to assist on various jobs that span the U.S. This role will ensure surface preparation is complete by utilizing specification, taping, power tool cleaning, and pressure washing. The Coating Technician will apply various linings and coatings to substrates, including food safety coatings, in heavy industrial locations. General knowledge of worksite safety, painting, coatings and surface preparation is required and experience in the construction trades is a major plus.
  • Complete surface preparation with SSPC/NACA AMP standards.
  • Set up containment to protect customer assets on projects.
  • Pressure wash to remove surface contaminants from surfaces before coatings applications.
  • Follows and reviews all safety operating protocol outlined by Project Manager, Superintendent, and Foreman on the job.
  • Applies coatings to surfaces including concrete floors, ceilings, and other surfaces

Requirements
  • OSHA 10 certification or ability to complete OSHA 10 certification within first week of start date (company paid).
  • Able to lift 50 lbs. or more.
  • Able to kneel, crouch, bend over, and stand for more than 8 hours at a time.
  • Ability to communicate through both written and verbal communication.
  • 1-2 years experience with coatings or in the construction industry.
  • Ability to travel extensively throughout the United States and work weekends/holidays.
